ARTIFACT:
Great 1870’s Torrent Engine Co. Parade Belt from Fisherville, New Hampshire, which is now part of Concord, became Penacook in 1883. The leather parade belt is black, white, and red and the front reads: “FISHERVILLE N H” and the reverse reads: “TORRENT”. The belt was made by Boston saddler, James Logan.

CONDITION:
6+ (Fine—Very Fine): Belt has seen wear, leather is delicate, some areas of separation and loss have occurred. A section of the letter ‘R’ in Torrent and the letter ‘E’ in Fisherville are missing. There is an old repair to a split in the belt.
