Bela Ferene Dezso Blasko [October 20, 1882 - August 16, 1956] better known by his stage name Bela Lugosi was an Hungarian- American actor who is forever remembered for his roles in horror films. Lugosi greatest role was his portrayal as Count Dracula which he made his first debut on film in 1931. Listed for auction is a stunning display which contains an authenticated [TLS] typed letter signed by Bela Lugosi. The letter is typed on the letterhead of the Hotel Astor, Times Square, New York. The letter is dated April 17, 1940 and reads as follows, Dear Mr. Jack, I will be expecting you Sunday. Use this letter as a pass at the stage door ''on 46th st, Sincerely ''Bela Lugosi'' in black fountain pen. The letter measures 6.50 x 9.50 inches and is attractive and in fine condition. The autograph has been authenticated by JSA James Spence Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letter of Authenticity. The display is centered around a wonderful colorized photograph of Bela Lugosi in his role as Count Dracula. Mounted next to the photograph is the letter as described above and mounted below is a professionally engraved metal plaque which contains a quote from Bela Lugosi and reads as follows, ''Bela Ferenc Dezso Blasko. Bela Lugosi October 20, 1882 - August 16, 1956. ''I have never met a vampire personally, but I don't know what might happen tomorrow''. The display has been professionally assembled in all acid free materials with great attention to details as follows. Each item has been triple matted in a mint green swede and accented with a silver and a black inner matte. The display has been completed in a black/silver ornate wood frame to the dimensions of 22.00 x 20.00 inches.
