    Description

    Offered for auction an "AMISH HANDCRAFTED WOOD CHILD'S "TIME-OUT" CORRECTIVE BEHAVIOR CHAIR WITH QUARTZ CLOCK MOVEMENT & STORAGE DRAWER / MADE IN USA".  "This chair is for the child who's parents have given him/her everything except a "GOOD OLD FASHION SPANKING!" LOL.  It is handcrafted with solid oak wood in the classic style and accented with attractive backrest spindles and a side storage drawer.   The raised lettering "TIME OUT" is painted white, and the inset clock forms the letter "O".  The tall side posts have dowel joints and is topped with classic wood finials.  The front is graced with an artistic carved wood cartouche.  The fancy designed clock has a Tukane Quartz USA movement that works but runs a little slow, which is a good thing as it gives the child a tad more time to consider the offense. LOL (1 AA battery included).  Chair overall dimensions: Height, from finial to bottom...33", Seat width...14", Seat depth...11", Seat height...10 1/4", Backrest height...23" and weighs approx. 10 Lbs.  There is no mfg. mark, however, the style and construction suggests that it was made by Amish Craftsmen in the USA.  This chair is in good pre-owned condition with normal wear, minor nicks, scrapes and scratches.  It is clean, sturdy and ready to use.  The dolls pictured are for staging and not offered in this listing.

    NOTE: (An "emotionally controlled" parent to child spanking in the USA is still a lawful alternative to "TIME OUT", when the child disregards clear instructions and displays unrepentant behavior.  This should be a seldom occurrence and always done in love to avert a root of bitterness from springing up in the child, prompting more rebellion.  A wise parent should discern what measure of disciplinary action is appropriate for the offense).
