Vintage 1950s, 1960s Fireman’s Parade Hat/Cap, “Balco Brand” 100% Wool

This hat belonged to my grandfather. He was a volunteer firefighter during WWII up to the 1960s. He was a firetruck driver/equipment operator. He would stand on the back of the firetruck in the Fourth of July parade with the other firemen just so he could wave to me and my brother and sister. The firemen on the back of the truck would look so serious holding on the top rail with their left hand with their right arm behind their backs. We grandchildren would yell trying to get our grandfather’s attention. Then he would break into a smile and wave to us. We were so proud. See photos for condition.
