    Description

Here is a charming little Japanese Tokanabe ware incense burner or censor in the form of a Japanese temple or castle.
It is in two separate pieces that fit together allowing the incense smoke to rise and come out the holes in the temple roof.
It is painted in red, gold, and silver over a black ground.
It measures 4- 3/4 inches tall in total, and is 3- 5/8ths inches square at the base.
This item is in very good condition, with no chips. cracks, or other damage, or repairs.
Just a bit of wear at the edges of the base consistent with its age and use. (see photos).
